The childrens drawing classes will resume through May with the new block starting the 7th of May. You can pay this in 4 week sessions
- Thursday 4pm-5pm
- Friday 4pm-5pm
Classes cost : £10 per class (payable in 4 week sessions at £40 on week 1)
Maximum class size is 14.
Age range : suitable for 7-13yrs
Families enrolling 2 or more children will receive a 10% discount for each child after the first.
About the childrens drawing and painting classes
Jon Hoad will be running a series of classes for children aimed at teaching simple drawing techniques and developing basic skills. Children are encourage to come up with ideas they would like to work on and Jon will support them to achieve their goals. Classes are held with an informal approach to teaching art, allowing children the chance to relax, have fun and explore their imagination. Our minimum age for joining the childrens drawing class is now 7yrs and we take children up to around 12-13yrs when they can then progress to the portfolio classes if they wish to.
The course will cover work in pencil, colour pencil, pens, pastels and painting. Materials are provided.

About the tutor
Jon Hoad has been a professional freelance artist for 30yrs. During this time he has made CD and album covers for various bands, done product artwork with Black & Decker and illustrations for archeological companies amongst other things. His main passion though is paleontology and paleobontany. His work recreating the works of prehistory has been featured in the national press and on the National Geographic website.
